On Thursday, April 14th, 2011 the south end of Mamie Street in Chokoloskee was bulldozed and a chain-linked fence was installed around the property leading to the Smallwood Store. Ted Smallwood’s Store Inc., a 501(c) 3 organization, is seeking donations to help cover legal fees as a result of this battle. Access has been restored thru the courts via a temporary injunction but, it is not over. Donations will be used toward the battle to save this historic site. To learn more…
